GG Wizards today unleashed AlphaTug on the iPhone. AlphaTug is a addictive multi-player word game that both kids and adults can play. You play as a tile eating monster, taking turns playing words from 12 tiles, similar to Scrabble. For each letter in your word, your monster tugs once. Tug three times, and your monster eats the tile, scoring 1 point. Watch out, because your opponent’s monster is tugging in the opposite direction. First monster to 4 points wins.

iPhone + CCG = Perfect Match
The iPhone and Collectible Card Games, like Magic: the Gathering and WoW CCG, are both hugely popular. There is demand all over the internet for these two to come together. CCGs in the physical world demand a touch interface to move the cards around on the table. Touch devices like the iPad and iPhone provide a flat surface for interacting with objects via touch. In fact, Magic is just begging for an iPhone implementation: you could now literally “tap” a card on the iPhone and cause the “tap” action to the card in the card game.
